We have made a number of changes to our operations, as advised by recent government guidelines, to enable us to continue to serve you safely during the current circumstances. These include:
- ‘Le Van’ serving Bourne End (Wednesday), Beaconsfield (Thursday) and Penn (Friday) – CLICK AND COLLECT ONLY
- ‘L’Apé’ Serving Friday and Saturday @ The Three Horseshoes, Flackwell Heath – CLICK AND COLLECT & DELIVERY
- Online orders and contactless payment only
- For contactless collection we will give an approximate collection time to help stagger orders and ensure social distancing

Every amazing pizza starts with the dough, and ours is no different. Only four ingredients go into our Neapolitan base: the finest Italian ’00’ flour, water, salt and yeast. Then, it is proved for 24 hours to develop the taste and make it easier to digest before being balled and rested.
Then the magic happens.
Opened by hand and topped with the best quality ingredients available, from San Marzano tomatoes sourced from the slopes of Vesuvius to fresh vegetables from our local greengrocers in Bourne End. Then it spends 60 seconds in our ovens, blistering beautifully at 500 degrees before coming out ready to be gleefully gobbled!
The gift of a pizza oven from Big Ian is where it all started. That, and our already-flaming love of all things Italian. Cue waking at 6am to make dough for pizza parties (as demanded by friends!) and experimenting with all the toppings you can think of.
Then the spark of an idea.
Why not just take what we love and share it with others? Along came a beautiful baby boy and a broken foot (Simon’s, ending his rugby career poor lad) – the perfect chance to get the ball rolling. First came our beautiful classic van – a 1971 Peugeot J7 sourced from the Côte d’Azur – then, we gave her a facelift and fitted her out with a gorgeous wood fired pizza oven and hit the road ready to spread smiles and fill tummies.

Knead Pizza did the most fantastic job catering for our annual Volunteer Party. All our guests really enjoyed the food, with many commenting it was the most delicious pizza they had ever eaten. The team did a great job at keeping up with demand, which was no easy feat given that were over 80 hungry volunteers to feed! The vintage van also looked stunning, parked within one of our nature reserves. We couldn’t have asked for more! We’ll certainly be using Knead again in the future.
We had Knead Pizza cater our wedding in May and they truly put their heart and soul into ensuring that all of our guests were full to the brim with delicious pizza all day! Having the Knead Team there on the day was truly a highlight and every single guest commented on how delicious everything was! They were able to turn around a huge variety of super cute, personalised, tasty, hot pizzas without anyone having to wait too long! They were also brilliant in the planning stages keeping me really calm and ensuring that they would handle everything on the day! They even went above and beyond to cater for all the guests dietary requirements! Lastly, when I explained my vision of a pizza wedding cake- they rose to the challenge and made my vision come to life without any trouble at all! It is still my favourite memory of the wedding- thank you Team Knead!

Not only did they personalise a pizza for me (with my absolute favourite topping, Brie), but they also decorated their van with birthday messages, balloons, photographs and just all round amazingness. They were fantastic hosts; taking pizza requests from my friends, catering for dietary requirements and sharing their pizza expertise when multiple questions were asked about how they made a good pizza.
